In the best news of 2019, the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee declared that the Russia investigation has not yielded ANY proof that President Donald Trump’s campaign colluded with the Kremlin.
The committee chairman, North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr, announced the news during an interview with CBS News.
“If we write a report based upon the facts that we have, then we don’t have anything that would suggest there was collusion by the Trump campaign and Russia,” Burr stated.
The investigation has been ongoing since 2016. Although this is not yet the final report and Burr was unable to share how much of the report would be released as declassified.
Burr was adamant that the investigation was going at full steam and, “If I can finish tomorrow, I would finish tomorrow.”
He also noted how the investigation was clearly winding down. “We know we’re getting to the bottom of the barrel because there’re not new questions that we’re searching for answers to,” he shared.
