President Donald Trump spent more than an hour with Margaret Brennan for an interview that took place right before the Super Bowl on CBS News.
Trump specifically took time to elaborate how Pelosi was “very bad for our country” after Brennan asked him about what it was like to negotiate with her.
“Well, I think that she was very rigid – which I would expect – but I think she is very bad for our country. She knows that you need a barrier. She knows that we need border security. She wanted to win a political point. I happen to think it’s very bad politics because basically she wants open borders. She doesn’t mind human trafficking or she wouldn’t do this,” Trump explained.
Trump makes apparent that Pelosi is essentially encouraging illegal immigration as she continues to block his efforts to secure the nation.
However Trump is still resolute that one way or the other he will fulfill his promise and ultimately come out ahead Pelosi. When Brennan pointed out that Trump was “still going to have to deal with her now,” he immediately clapped back.
“No, she can keep playing her games, but we will win. Because we have a much better issue. On a political basis, what she’s doing is- I actually think it’s bad politics, but much more importantly it’s very bad for our country,” Trump replied.
