Democrats are crying their little eyes out after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell confessed how he would approach a Supreme Court opening.
During a recent event McConnell was asked: “Should a Supreme Court justice die next year, what will your position be on filling that spot?”
McConnell was quick to reply, “Oh, we’d fill it,” while cracking a grin.
This announcement has Democrats up in arms, calling the Republican a hypocrite after he preventing former President Barrack Obama from appointing his own nominee in 2016.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer even tried to get cute about it, making a post on Twitter with a little animal protestor.
Despite Democrats braying in the background, McConnell has removed the option for them to oppose him. He adjusted the Senate rules so that the confirmation process could be attained with a simple majority, rather than the 60-vote supermajority that was previously required.
A move that only further chapped Democrats as he actually learned it from them.
