Marine bans NFL coverage in restaurant

A Marine veteran and restaurant owner recently decided that he had enough of all the disrespect being dished out by NFL players who were taking a knee during the National anthem and thought he’d do a little protesting of his own by boycotting the games and not playing them in his establishment.

After checking with the rest of his leadership team to make sure they were all on the same page with this decision, Bill DeFries said they were ready to accept the downtick in business as a result of standing on principle, expecting things to dwindle significantly.

They called DirecTV to cancel the NFL package and were told they would have to take a $6,000 loss, which seemed to signal the beginning of the bad news DeFries and his team had been expecting.
